Dustin Arms Hotel

Today was our first day of ministry for our HUM internship. Our group- Melissa Carey, Robert Del Castillo and Kristin Cramer met and made a wonderful dinner of mash potatoes, stuffing, breaded chicken patties and gravy. When we arrived at the Dustin Arms Nick, the manager, was no where to be found. It turns out he gets Memorial Day off. There was a low turn out for dinner when compared to past weeks but we had a new person, Samantha, join us for our study. Robert played a few songs and Melissa shared Psalm 104. Samantha shared that she works at a larger hotel called Peach Tree which is filled almost entirely with the elderly and disabled. She said that many people did not have any help getting food and that many may need it. We may look into assembling bags for each room (she said they might mob us if we do a buffet set up) and dropping them off door to door.





Tomorrow we are helping with a dinner and bible study at the New Plaza Hotel.
