I've been in Colombia for over 6 months. I honestly can't believe it's been that long. For Christmas a friend from college, Cindy, who is living in Ecuador with the Peace Corps came to visit. We went out to a finca, a farm/vacation house, with Juanita L's family. Then we went to Cartagena on the North coast for New Years. We got to go swimming in the Caribbean Sea on New Year's Eve day. Basically my break went really, really fast.
Starting about three weeks ago my Friday afternoons have been taken up with free dental work. I am very happy that a parent of my student, Eliana, is a dentist who wants to bless her daughter's teacher. So far I've gotten my teeth cleaned, x-rayed, 4 of 5 cavities filled, a root canal, and all four wisdom teeth removed. I've still have another filling and dental restorations with resin for both of my canine teeth. I'm looking forward to a weekend free of dentists!

Oh wow how exciting to be in Colombia as a missionary. I am Colombian like you read so it's always fun to read about people that are there experiencing my culture.
Where are you in Bogota? If you need anything let me know my whole family lives there and I am sure they'd love to help.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Bogota, have a Corral burger for me and maybe a piece of cheese with arequipe!
Thanks! I'm coming back to the States in in less than 2 weeks! Next year I am teaching in the middle school. I live in Mirandela next to Centro Comercial Santa Fe. I'm still looking for a good church if they know of one I can try that would be wonderful!
