So, I decided that I really wanted to go to church this morning some where where I would feel comfortable. I knew that there's a Calvary Chapel- South LA only half a mile from CSM so I figured I'd walk there in the morning. I got up around 9, which was fairly early since the service didn't start until 10:30. My roommate, we'll call her Britain, said she'd come with me. However when I went to double check the time for the service on their website I found out that the service is actually at 10:00 and I only had 10 minutes to get there. So I left Britain sleeping in her bed and asked P-Diddy, a young man that stays here but doesn't really work for CSM (he reminds me of P-Diddy thus the name), to let me out of the locked front gate. Anyway I got to the church very easily though I felt a bit nervous about going on my own on my first day in LA. And officially the service doesn't start until 10:05 so I was there with plenty of time.
The worship was great, all but two of the songs I knew and we sung a few of them in Spanish too. The pastor had a good message about taking issues between Christians to the church not to the courts (when possible). And afterward I ended up talking to a few pastors including the youth pastor who really wants CSM to check out the church. They're building an indoor skate park, which they claim will be the only one in LA. My directors here are interested in checking out CCSoLA too, so I'm really excited about this connection!

Just wanted to drop a quick hello I ran into your blog by randomness I actually googled our church and your blog came up so I was curious. Not sure if you are in LA or not but hopefully when you are in the area you can visit. By the way the skate park is doing great. We have tons of kids coming every week and we are reaching souls.
